• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

• 2 whole large eggs

• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

• Extra butter and flour for preparing the baking pan

• 9 x 13 inch baking dish

• 2 mixing bowls

• Glass measuring cup

• Heat resistant rubber spatula

• Electric hand mixer

• Wire cooling rack

• Sharp knife

• Whisk


What to Do

• Preheat the oven to 375 degrees

• Coat the entire inside of the baking dish with softened butter. Sprinkle in flour to coat and shake out the excess

• Put the sugar into a large mixing bowl

• Put the 1 cup of butter into the glass measuring cup and microwave until melted

• Pour the melted butter into the light brown sugar and use the heat resistant rubber spatula to stir the two together until they are smooth and consistent

• Place the butter and sugar aside to cool to room temperature

• Place the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda in another mixing bowl and use the whisk to combine the ingredients and break up any lumps

• Once the butter is cool, add the whole eggs and pure vanilla extra and beat with the electric hand mixer until fully combined

• Sprinkle 1/4 of the flour mixture over the wet ingredient mixture and beat until fully combined

• Continue adding the flour mixture in quarters, beating thoroughly until well incorporated after each addition, until the mixture creates a thick batter

• If you want to customize your blondies with add-ins, incorporate them with the rubber spatula at this point

• Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it out into an even layer across the entire bottom of the baking dish

• Bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes or until the edges are lightly brown and slightly pulling away from the edges of the dish

• Let the blondies cool for 5 minutes in the dish

• Carefully invert the blondies onto the wire cooling rack and allow to cool completely before slicing with a sharp knife for serving
