1. |
How
much notice do you need? |
| |
We
would like three days notice, but if
necessary, we can normally provide a
caregiver within 24 hours.
|
|
2. |
Am I
obligated to a specific amount of
service? |
| |
The
duration of service is completely at
your discretion. We do have a three
or 4
hour minimum, depending on the
location. Care is available 24
hours a day, seven days a week, or
overnight. Schedules may be regular
or sporadic, according to your
needs. If it is necessary you may
cancel at any time. However, in order
to best utilize the caregiver’s
schedule our cancellation policy is
that you may cancel a shift by
giving 24 hours notice to the At
Your Service caregiver office during
normal business hours.

3. |
How
are your caregivers selected? |
| |
Our
caregivers are thoroughly
interviewed, reference checked and
background checked. We ask ourselves
would this be someone we would want
to care for a member of our own
family.
|
|
4. |
What
type of skills do your caregivers
have? |
| |
Our
caregivers all must have at least
one year experience working with
seniors, although the majority of
our caregivers have many years of
senior care experience. Some of our
caregivers are CNA or HHA certified
or nursing students. All
caregivers have been TB tested,
criminal backgrounds checked, and
bonded.

|
5. |
What
if the assigned caregiver is not
compatible or is not available? |
| |
Customer satisfaction is our mission.
Our initial in-home assessment of
you and your needs will allow us to
find a caregiver that is compatible.
|
|
6. |
How do
the caregivers get paid? |
| |
Our
caregivers are employees of At Your
Service Home Care. We are the
employer, therefore, we take care of
all employee responsibilities such
as wages, taxes, social security,
workers compensation and liability
insurance.
|
|
7. |
What
are your rates? |
| |
Our
rates vary with the clients
particular needs. During the in-home
meeting and assessment with you, we
will determine the level of service
needed and give a quote based on
those needs.
|
|
8. |
Do
insurance or the government programs
cover the cost of the services? |
| |
Health
insurance generally does not cover
these costs. Government programs
such as Medicare and Medicaid do not
cover the costs of our services. We
can assist in billing long-term care
insurance (if applicable).
|
|
9. |
What
contact is made with the family? |
| |
We
will have you designate one family
member that we can contact with
information.
